"Jena Six" Photo Diary (Part I)

Here's a collection of photographs from the Shreveport Times and from my cell phone camera.

The entire gallery of Shreveport Times photos showing local church members departing early on Thursday morning can be found online in the online collection "Leaving for Jena."

I really need to get a digital camera for documenting things like this.

Digital cameras can be had on the cheap on the used market but even brand-spanking new ones are very affordable these days. Try to get one that has good video capability and will shoot continually until the card fills up rather than shuts off after a certain time period or limited memory capacity. The Canon A70 that I picked up on ebay for $36 a while back does reasonable video but automatically stops shooting after 3 minutes. This can mean missing some important footage. A lot of the newer digital cameras offer unlimited video shooting until the card is full and I would recommend getting a camera that has a good wide-angle lens on it and allows one to zoom the lens while using the video function.

Anyway, I am quite sure that I have gotten more than my 36 bucks worth of still pictures and educational and entertaining U*U Tube video out of my handy dandy Canon A70. ;-)

Maybe U*Us should send Rev. Eliza Galagher up here to Montreal to protest alongside me with her Justice * Equity * Compassion picket sign slogan. There is precious little of those claimed U*U values forthicoming from Montreal Unitarian U*Us.

Hey, Steve...It's Dave Z., fellow UU from Baton Rouge, and former co-member of SWUUC Board. Nice work on this blog. Check out my blog at http://dadlak.blogspot.com, though I'm afraid I'm not supporting our faith in words, pictures or deeds nearly as well as you are.
